TSL - Integrated Job Costing System

TSL specialise in value-added CD/DVD packaging solutions and CD/DVD replication. Although they had an up to date computer network and sophisticated accounts and stock control systems, jobs were still being processed using hard copy job sheets. Apart from the labour and paper work involved, directors lacked full visibility of a job's progress and gross profit. We delivered a job sheet system that integrated with the accounts and stock control system. This resulted in speedier processing of jobs, eradicated the paperwork and gave the directors a reporting facility to analyse profitability.

The job involved first performing workflow analysis to gain an understanding of the business processes. After designing the solution, we had to upgrade the existing systems to make them open for integration. This involved managing the existing suppliers to perform data migration and install new server hardware. Following the development and installation of the new system we held training sessions to familiarise staff with the new system and working methods. We now provide ongoing support remotely.

We are pleased to say that we achieved this in a short period of time with less than 3 months from project inception to go-live and at a low cost. This is mostly due to our pragmatic approach and willingness to leverage existing systems.
